How can employers build a workplace where different minds can thrive, while getting the support, management and employment law considerations right?
Elcons Employment Law and Neuro-Sparks are joining forces for a free, practical event designed to help employers and managers better understand neurodiversity in the workplace.
Taking place on Friday 20 November 2026 at the Lancashire FA, Leyland, the morning will bring together practical guidance, expert insight and employment-law knowledge to help businesses create more inclusive and supportive working environments.
Different minds. Stronger teams.
Neurodiversity is part of everyday working life. Conditions and differences such as autism, ADHD and dyslexia can influence how people communicate, process information, approach tasks and experience the workplace.
For employers, understanding these differences is an important step towards supporting employees effectively, helping managers feel more confident and making the most of the strengths people bring to their teams.
But knowing where to start is not always straightforward.
What support might make a difference? How should managers respond when an employee raises a concern or discloses a condition? What does the law expect employers to consider?
This joint event will explore these questions in a practical, accessible way, helping employers move beyond awareness and towards meaningful action.
What will the session cover?
Neuro-Sparks will explore neurodiversity and the neurodiversity umbrella, including the strengths and challenges neurodivergent people may experience at work. The session will also look at respectful language, inclusive behaviours and practical adjustments that can help people feel better supported.
Elcons will focus on the employment law and people-management considerations employers need to understand, including disability disclosure, reasonable adjustments and supporting both employees and managers.
The aim is to give attendees useful information they can take back into their own organisations, whether they are already supporting neurodivergent employees or want to build their confidence for the future.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and connect with other local businesses.
Who should attend?
The event is particularly relevant to business owners, directors, HR professionals, line managers and anyone responsible for supporting people at work.
You do not need to be an expert in neurodiversity to benefit. Whether your business is reviewing its approach to inclusion, responding to an individual employee’s needs or simply looking to equip managers with greater understanding, this session offers a useful starting point.
